ABOUT ME
Who is Eryn?
I am in the business of empowering others to reach their goals in life. It is my mission to help create a healthier world one person at a time. Life is an adventure and I want to help others thrive in all areas of their lives with a healthy mind and body.
My life has been an adventure, and I am only half way through it. With all the variety of life experiences and education, I am able to help people change their mindsets and reach their goals.
My coaching career started at a young age. I wanted to be a gymnast, and I spent the first decade of my life chasing that dream. This is where I got my first job as a coach, I got to help coach the younger gymnast when I was about 12 years old. The dream came to an end when I was about 13, I decided to go off to boarding school to avoid living with either of my parents.
Fast forward and skipping all the childhood drama. When I finally was free and off on my own at college, I got a bike to ride to class and fell in love with my bike. The love of my bike is still alive today. I joke that it is the longest running relationship of my life.
In college I studied physiotherapy in the Netherlands. This is when I became a triathlete. After winning my first few races, I was hooked! Until I discovered my real talent was on the bike. I was living in Montana and my boss told me, “You have a real talent on the bike, you should pursue racing, I know you will go somewhere.” That one statement changed my life.
Remember that girl who had to let go of her dream? She was brought back to life that day. I began learning more about training seriously and within a few years I was a cat 1/pro racer in Northern California. I did well, but I didn’t reach my big goal of getting to the olympic trials. I wonder if I would have had a coach if I would have made it? ABSOLUTELY!
My cycling career came to a standstill after my divorce. Work wasn’t fulfilling me. The next relationship ended and then I was dating in the online world. That experience could have become a sitcom! I decided to go back to school and got my MBA.
Business school was a blast! I thrived soaking in all the new knowledge, new connections and adventures. On my way into a new career, I met someone online and it changed the path I was heading down. I ended up choosing love and starting a family in the midwest, a place I never thought I would live.
Surprisingly the flatlands of the midwest brought me a lot of joy. I got married again and soon had a healthy son. Then I became a winning triathlete and was able to make it to Age Group World Championships for 5 consecutive years. It wasn’t the olympics, but I was on team USA and had a race suit with my name on it! I was also finishing top 5 in the world in my age group and 3x I was the first american in my age group. Not bad for a mom over 40. I really wanted the podium at worlds. Why couldn’t I get there?
By this point in my life I was able to hire a coach, which is why I was doing so well and thriving. But something was missing. I didn’t have enough mental fitness to keep the demons from showing up. I was struggling in my personal relationship and it was affecting my performance.
What if I would have had a coach that could do it all? Train me as an athlete and build up my mental fitness to ensure all the training would shine on race day.
This is how I ended up here. I am here to serve the endurance athletes who are looking for the full package of coaching from the head down. From the mental fitness to the physical fitness. A holistic coach that includes training the body and the mind with an added bonus of my rehab skills to keep the injuries at bay or work with you recovering from setbacks from injuries, again physically and mentally.
